Island Time Radio with DK the DJ
Show Times: Tue: 8:00pm – Thur: Midnight – Sun: 3:00pm
The show is hosted by Dennis King (DK the DJ). DK is a former mobile DJ from Cleveland, Ohio. He has hosted several shows on WBWC since 1994, including seven 18 hour Beach Boys marathons. The Island Time Radio show debuted in January 2000. We like to think our show will take you on a 3 hour vacation, even if its just in our minds! The show’s playlist main theme is Trop rock music !
In the Island Time “musical gumbo” you’ll also hear classic rock, classic singer-songwriters, sunshine reggae, soca, calypso, East coast beach music, West coast surf instrumentals, surf vocal bands, tropical jazz, celtic rock and steel drum sounds! Local Ohio / Put in Bay acts are often featured. Artists like Pat Dailey, Alex Bevan, Bob Gatewood, Chuck Cornwell, Junkanoo Brothers, Mike “Mad Dog” Adams, West Side Steve, KD Moore, Jonah Koslen, Koz Kozminski, and Ray Fogg. Many of these acts are live studio guests from time to time.
Just about every show will feature either a live phone guest or an in studio guest. Past interviews have included Sunny Jim White, Peter Mayer, Hugo Duarte, Brent Burns, Pat Dailey, Barefoot Man, Al Jardine (Beach Boys), Jeffrey Foskett (Brian Wilson band), Ron Dante (Archies), Lenore Troia, Rob Mehl, Mark Mulligan, and many many more.

Proud Beach Bum Band Member and radio host running the show at Big Burrito Radio. Johnny has been a radio host prior to Big Burrito Radio during his years as an undergrad at Lewis University. Hardcore TropRock Fan and Follower. Co-Host Mad Marty has been a great addition to Big Burrito Radio.
